Hi there!
Any pins you looking 4? I am quite interested in your Visa Quatchi & Miga on a Luge which is not part of the Visa series?
March 17, 2010 at 12:12 pm
Hi Bille,
I’m sorry, that pin is part of my personal collection, so it’s not available for trading.
I am however trading those marked with the red * so please let me know if there’re any others you’re interested in! I’m looking mostly for mascot pins, especially Quatchi ones
Thanks!
March 18, 2010 at 9:38 pm
Hi Bille,
I have the VISA pin set…
Let me know if u are interested for trading
Thanks!
March 18, 2010 at 10:49 pm
Hi Mikki,
Do u mean there’s another VISA pin set that consists of that Quatchi & Miga on a Luge & others? If there is, I’d like to see it & perhaps trade for it too!
March 17, 2010 at 12:24 am
Hi SuperQuatchi,
I’m interested in your “Coca-cola Polar bear with Canada flag” pin. Would you mind to tell where you got it from?
Thanks~~
March 17, 2010 at 1:13 am
Hi HoJo,
I got it from trading @the Coca-Cola Pin Trading Centre. Currently, I’m not sure if they are still trading that one, or the new Paralympic Coca-cola Polar bear with Canada flag, or the Coca-cola giant bottle one.
If you’re interested in this pin, I do have it available for trading. You can send me a pic of your available pin(s) to superquatchi AT gmail.com
Thanks!
March 17, 2010 at 1:59 am
Sounds good to me. I will take a photo of the pins within the next few days. I am currently busy with school work, so no time to organize the pins that I would like to trade. Hopefully I will be able to send you an email before weekend. Thanks again man!
March 17, 2010 at 8:37 am
Hi SuperQuatchi,
Nice to see the Samsung Quatchi pin I traded with you in your collection here
I was wondering about how you can across that rectangular mukmuk pin? Like it has nothing else on it except mukmuk and his name! Don’t worry, I know you’re not trading that one away
March 17, 2010 at 10:05 pm
Hey Joanne! hehe yep I love that Samsung Quatchi pin! Thanks again for the trade. Hope you’re enjoying the mascot Christmas one too~~
As for the rectangular mukmuk pin, my mom actually bought that from one of the pin trading guys downtown, 3 for $10. Unfortunately, when I looked at it closely after she gave it to me, I discovered that it’s not an ‘official’ pin.. ie, no markings on the back. But it’s still pretty cute, eh?
Anyway, if you’re interested in getting it, I think I saw some being sold by this guy who has a table near the Art Gallery yesterday – he was selling them for $3, I believe. You can try your luck there!
Cheers!
March 17, 2010 at 10:46 pm
Thanks for the tip on the MukMuk pin! I love anything with MukMuk on it actually, and for an “unoffical” pin, it looks really decent! I’ll see if I’m lucky enough to get one near the Art Gallery then!
March 19, 2010 at 9:47 pm
I think that mukmuk pin is the one that comes with the keychain. It’s being sold as a set of keychain + pin. I saw the sets with all 4 mascots individually per set.
March 19, 2010 at 7:55 pm
I have both Dr. Quatchi and Muk Muk the Xray tech. Just keep checking Granville St and the Olympic Store. They are bound to resurface! Keep trying!
March 19, 2010 at 11:54 pm
Do you know how much those pins would go for (trade wise and/or money wise)? I am looking for those as well… and the Quatchi hockey moving one is super cute!
Great job on this site, stumbled across this while checking out pins.. i’m a rookie too and sometimes it’s intimidating trying to trade w seasoned collectors…
March 19, 2010 at 11:56 pm
Hi Sylvia, I hope so too! Those 2 are my top “Wanted” ones!
hehe
March 20, 2010 at 12:00 am
Hi moof,
Thanks for your compliment!
I saw the Dr. Quatchi one the other day – the guy who had it was selling it only, not trading. It was going for $50! @_@”
March 21, 2010 at 1:49 am
I had 2 Dr. Quatchi pins, and one person offered me $70 for one, so I sold it. Now I have one for keeps
As for the mukmuk x-ray pin, they are everywhere! Only, the pintraders who have him are so protective of him…average price is $50 too…@.@”
March 21, 2010 at 2:10 pm
Wow, Joanne, how did you get 2 Dr. Quatchi pins? You’re super lucky!!
March 19, 2010 at 9:48 pm
I will probably have time to take a pic tonight or tomorrow, and will send it to you right after.
Are you going to the downtown trade center tomorrow?
March 19, 2010 at 11:43 pm
Hi HoJo,
Sounds good! Look forward to seeing your pins
I might stop by the Coca-Cola Pin Trading Centre tomorrow and/or Sunday.
I don’t usually bring all my available pins with me when I go there, so if there’s something specific that you wanted & we agree on a trade, I can bring it for you.
Just let me know!
March 19, 2010 at 9:51 pm
By the way, do you happen to have a skytrain pin? I am looking for an oval-shaped pin with the brand-new gray-color skytrain.
March 19, 2010 at 11:44 pm
Sorry, I don’t have it.. All of the pins that I have in my collection are pictured above! hehe
Good luck finding it!
March 19, 2010 at 11:27 pm
Love your concept here. Interested in your Canada (with both logos), Quatchi and Miga Torch runners, and RBC Pin. I have over 70 Olympic Pins. Need to load up a picture to send to you and will do that as soon as possible. I LIKE your concept on this page. Would love to get a network of us “traders” happening. I know there is already a pinclub called Olympin, however, it would be cool to get us low-key, rookie pin enthusiasts starting some pin trading on our own. I know I feel overwhelmed by the seasoned pin traders and would rather just enjoy pin trading as a hobby with people that are new to Pin Trading. Pleas let me know what you think.
March 19, 2010 at 11:54 pm
Hi MukMick,
Thanks for your compliment!
I would love to see your pins whenever you have the time to upload a pic. You could e-mail it to me at superquatchi AT gmail.com or post a link to the pic in the comments.
And I am totally up for your idea with the rookie pin trader network thing! I’ve only just recently started collecting Olympic pins (the fever set in right after the games ended haha!) and would love to do more trading!
Let’s work something out!
March 21, 2010 at 2:12 am
Hii! I’m interested in the rookie pin trade network too! I just started out this winter olympics haha! Let’s all exchange pictures of our pins
Email me at j4joanne AT gmail.com, cheers!
March 20, 2010 at 7:54 am
Impressive collection!
March 20, 2010 at 9:44 am
Thank you!
March 20, 2010 at 9:47 pm
Hi there!
I have both of the Bay pins, the red and black! I’m willing to trade one of them (whichever you want) for your Quatchi looking at a map! If that one isn’t available, I’d love your Quatchi torch bearer with red mittens.
Let me know
- Heather
March 21, 2010 at 2:09 pm
Hi Heather,
I’m interested in getting them both as a set actually, if you are willing to trade them as a set, please e-mail me at superquatchi AT gmail.com & we can work out a trade!
Thanks!
March 22, 2010 at 11:25 am
I like the idea of a rookie pin trading network~~
March 23, 2010 at 11:27 am
Hi HoJo,
Here’s some info on what we’re starting out with: http://superquatchi.wordpress.com/2010/03/22/the-rookie-pin-traders-network/
I’ll be creating a page for this soon so just send me your pin pics’ links & info if you’re interested!
March 23, 2010 at 10:54 pm
Where did you get the 3 mascots on the whale pin? That is the first time that I have ever seen it.
March 23, 2010 at 11:06 pm
Hi Dan,
I bought that pin from one of the pin sellers downtown along Robson during the Olympics.
If you check I think some of the pin sellers that are still around along Granville St. may have that pin up for sale/trade!
Good luck!
March 25, 2010 at 7:50 pm
Muk Muk Xray tech was $45 but I end up trading one of the red mittens & torch + $15 for it. Dr. Quatchi I got earlier in the Olympic season. I dont think the fellow know how rare it was and sold it for $20. I saw the Pikachu one as well and laughed how funny it was. Probably could have bought it for cheap as well! hahaha…
Pin trading meet is this weekend!
March 26, 2010 at 12:37 am
Hi Sylvia,
You’re super lucky to have gotten the Dr. Quatchi for $20! I wish I had noticed it earlier on too.. Too bad I only came to know about it after the Olympics!
Anyway, are u part of the Pacific Pin Club? I heard about the meeting cuz one of the members gave me a card while I was trading @the Coca-Cola Pin Trading Centre.. I’ll probably go check it out this Sun!
March 26, 2010 at 4:54 am
I would like to have Dr. Quatchi for $20 too! That’s a good price for student like me ><
I might go to the Pacific Pin Club meeting on sunday too. Pretty much wanna go there and see if I can buy some pins. Nothing much to trade
March 26, 2010 at 1:17 pm
Hey HoJo,
Added your profile info given, to the Rookie Pin Traders Network page!
Happy collecting & trading!
March 26, 2010 at 3:22 pm
Hello fellow pin collector friend:
I have an extra BCLC downhill skiing pin I would like to trade a corporate sponsored like BC Hydro, Powersmart, Canada Post, Canadian Mint, Panasonic, Samsung etc. Are you interested? I live in Richmond BC
Warm regards,
Michael
March 26, 2010 at 8:33 pm
Hi Michael,
I’ll email you the corporate pin I have available for trading, & we can work something out!
Thanks!
March 26, 2010 at 3:28 pm
Thanks SuperQuatchi!
Are you going to the pin show? I am probably going there on Sunday morning.
Anyone else going to the pin show?
March 26, 2010 at 8:48 pm
Yep I’m going!
I was talking with some pin sellers/traders outside the Art Gallery today, and they said it’s gonna be a big event with lots of pins – so I’m definitely gonna be there! hehe
March 26, 2010 at 10:00 pm
See you guys there at the pin show, I’ll be there first thing in the morning
March 27, 2010 at 1:37 am
I was outside art galley too, but too bad I never met you before, so no idea what you look like. Didn’t see a big Quatchi walking on the street
I’m not going tomorrow…. sigh… hopefully there will still be the pins I want on Sunday.
I have mentioned to Joanne what I want… let see if she’s lucky to get some good pins ^^
March 27, 2010 at 8:38 pm
Hey HoJo,
You’re going on Sunday? I didn’t head down to the pin show today but I plan to go tomorrow hehe. Oh & you know Joanne too eh? I traded with her once before for a cute Quatchi pin!
Maybe if you see some of the pins from my collection here with me tomorrow you’ll spot me out!
See ya!
March 27, 2010 at 11:34 pm
well, I don’t know Joanne in person, but I emailed her a few days ago and see if she still had that extra volunteer bus pin. She told me that she traded her extra for something good
Are you going to bring all your collection? If you bring your Squamish Nation and TransCanada pins, I will probably recognize you.
I think I will go to the pin show around 10 with my friend.
March 28, 2010 at 1:06 am
I’m going to try to be there at 10am too! Hey HoJo I’ll email you my number and then you can text me when you’re there, so we can at least know what each other looks like.
I’ll be meeting SuperQuatchi too for a trade, for one of her “wanted” pins
March 29, 2010 at 11:55 pm
Hey Joanne & HoJo,
hehe
It was nice seeing you guys @the pin show yesterday! Did you guys get good trades?
March 27, 2010 at 9:20 pm
Hello SQ! I was going to email you to see what you thought of the pin show but just realised you are going tomorrow. I got a YVR (those simple pins) from a cycling friend of mine so I am happy!!! If you know anyone with a Skating pin from BCLC then please see if he/she is willing to swap a skiing pin. THANKS!
March 29, 2010 at 11:58 pm
Hi Michael,
And sure, I’ll let you know if I know of anyone who wants to trade the BCLC pins with you. Good luck!
Nice! Is there any particular reason why you prefer those ‘simple’ type of pins?
March 30, 2010 at 8:56 am
SQ: Thanks for the reply. Err! Most of the so called ‘Low quality’ pins are light and simple and the graphics are more eye catching than the metal pins. I guess it’s purely personal preference that I like these pins more.
March 30, 2010 at 8:21 pm
I agree, sometimes the ‘simple’ pins actually look nicer! I like all kinds though, so long as they are cute! hehe
March 28, 2010 at 9:07 pm
Ha ha! Got some Cold-fx pins free from a volunteer who has lots of spare ones! I am a happy soul. Anyway wants to swap a BCLC pin for a skating one?
March 30, 2010 at 1:04 am
From the look of your updated pics, looks like you got a lot of good pins at the trade show. Like your Saputo pin~
March 30, 2010 at 8:20 pm
Hehe I did!
Haha you should upload pics of your pin collection, I’m interested to see what you have other than that super special Mukmuk X-Ray pin!
March 30, 2010 at 8:58 am
Wow SQ…you have tons of new pins!!! Guess it was a very fruitful pin show! Wish I could go but just couldn’t juggle with time especially I live in Richmond and the bosses (wife and kid) took the family car skiing on Saturday! Darn jealous now!
March 30, 2010 at 8:25 pm
Hey Michael,
Oh it’s too bad that you missed out on the pin show! Well, there’s always next time! I wonder if there will be any such pin trading event in the near future, now that the Olympics & Paralympics are long over..
As for me, trade-wise, it was definitely pretty fruitful!!
March 31, 2010 at 12:17 am
I think Pacific Pin Club has meeting every last sunday of the month. Maybe there will be more pins at lower price.
March 30, 2010 at 6:32 pm
Hey Quatchi, I have two McDonalds Proud Partner Pins, one with Miga, and one with Miga and Quatchi (which I hear is rare because it has a creamy background and there were 250 made? With the Miga only about 500 made). I know you only trade, but other than the obvious ebay response, do you know a website or place I could sell these pins to?
March 30, 2010 at 8:33 pm
Hey Channy!
I’m interested in your McDonald’s Quatchi & Miga pin. I’ve emailed you about it.
Thanks!
March 31, 2010 at 3:33 am
My name is Piter Jankovich. oOnly want to tell, that your blog is really cool
And want to ask you: is this blog your hobby?
P.S. Sorry for my bad english
March 31, 2010 at 10:09 pm
Hi Piter,
Thanks for visiting my blog!
I started getting into it because of all the pin collectors & traders I saw downtown during the recent winter Olympic games here in Vancouver!
Yes, pin collecting is a new hobby of mine hehe
Are you a pin collector too?
March 31, 2010 at 7:17 pm
Hey SuperQuatchi!
I decided to make a blog today for my pins too haha. This is the URL http://j4joanne.wordpress.com/2010/03/31/my-2010-olympic-pin-collection/
If you can update it onto the “Rookies Network” page that would be awesome!
Thanks!
Joanne
March 31, 2010 at 10:14 pm
Hey Joanne,
Updated your pin collection link, @the Rookie Pin Traders Network page!
That’s pretty neat collection you’ve got.. Nice!
April 1, 2010 at 2:28 am
I just saw that you have a new posting on Craigslist. I posted one too a minute ago, in hope to trade my Doughty jersey pin for something I want
April 1, 2010 at 10:05 pm
Hehe.. Yup! I hope to trade some of my trader pins for ones that I want too!
April 1, 2010 at 4:30 pm
My friend told me that there will be a pin trading thing at Downtown library on Sat from 1-3:30. I’m not sure if that’s real or not. Needa double-check.
April 1, 2010 at 10:13 pm
Hey HoJo,
Is this the event you’re talking about?
http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/clt/1672049852.html
April 2, 2010 at 1:29 am
yup yup, that’s the event~~
It’s Renfrew library, not downtown… oops…
I probably will go. What about you?
April 3, 2010 at 9:39 am
I doubt so as I have some lunch plans. Let me know how it goes!
April 1, 2010 at 5:01 pm
Hi SuperQuatchi,
I’m glad to see the “I was there” pin in your collection
I traded that with your Visa pins and I love those too. You have a very nice collection. I’m trying to organize mine and when I do I would love to join this “rookie club”. I love your site.
By the way, have you heard about this pin swap meeting for this Saturday?
http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/clt/1672049852.html
Are any of you guys going to be there? Sounds like it will be less intimidating than the Pacific Pin Club (which I went to as well and really enjoyed, by the way).
Pin trading is fun!!
April 1, 2010 at 10:12 pm
Hey m3lody!
Hehe thanks for that trade, I love that pin! Glad to hear that you’re enjoying the Visa set & the coke pin too!
Nice to hear from you again!
And yes, for sure, let me know when you’ve got pics of your pins uploaded & I’ll link you up on the Rookie Pin Traders Network page!
Thanks for letting me know about the pin swap event! I might drop by if it fits my Sat scheduling plans.
Happy collecting & trading!
April 5, 2010 at 11:35 pm

April 6, 2010 at 12:05 am
Hi Yousef,
I do have an extra set of the Apple pins available or trade/sale. You can email me at superquatchi AT gmail.com with your price offer if you’re interested to buy them.
Cheers!

Hi there,
I’m interested in your RBC gold pin. I have a couple of pins I’m willing to trade for. Can I get your email so I can send you an image of them?
Thanks!
April 9, 2010 at 12:58 am

Hi Superquatchi,
I have got my hands on a coastal health dr. quatchi pin. I was wondering what you would be wiling to pay for it, or what you would be interested in trading for it. Please tell me if you’re interested by replying to my email address. Thanks
April 12, 2010 at 8:46 am
Hi Ali,
Yes I’m still interested in it.
I’ve just sent you an email.
Thanks!
April 17, 2010 at 5:05 pm
SQ! I see you are now on Craigslist too! Have you acquired any more pins in the last few days?! I found some really stunning pins including the sliding goalie from Cold-FX (that completes my CFX series of 7 of them) and some Visa pins one with a sliding bobsleigh and another one with a spinning skater! I also received a couple of Wonder+ pins with mascots…the list goes on and I am more ‘addicted’ than ever with this pin trading/collecting thing! Anyway, till next time!
April 18, 2010 at 1:01 am
Hey Michael!
Glad to hear that your pin collection is growing! I’d love to have a look at your pins if you get a chance to upload pics of them. It’s always fun to admire nice pins & pin collections! hehe
Also, do u have any interesting trader pins?
BTW I’m a little upset that I heard about the Wonder+ pin mail offer too late, but I’m lucky that I still managed to make the UPC submission deadline for the mascot plush mail offer! If you’re interested to have a look at the mascot plush I got from Wonder+, here’s my post about it: http://superquatchi.wordpress.com/2010/03/24/wonder-quatchi/
Cheers & happy pin collecting!

woooo, those are your new collection??! Congratulation on the completion of the Panasonic set. And what is that muk muk pin with the white board?
April 18, 2010 at 1:38 am
Hey Jason,
That Mukmuk pin’s origins that you were wondering about in your first pic.. I think it looks curiously similar to this ‘Mukmuk First VANOC Licensing Workshop Pin’ seen here: http://www.pincollectorssite.com/pins_vanoc.php (the last pin in that list)
BTW where’s the Dim Sum pin!
I wanna see it!
And congrats on finally completing your Panasonic set!
P.S. I’m still interested in the Lumix pin!
April 18, 2010 at 1:29 am
Are you going to the pin show next sunday?
April 18, 2010 at 1:43 am
Hey HoJo,
What pin show is this? Please let me know the details! Thanks
April 18, 2010 at 2:58 am
I think it’s from Pacific Pin Club. They have it on the last sunday of the month. I have to double-check too.
April 18, 2010 at 5:57 pm
It’s their monthly show every last sunday. It’s on the 25th this month. Very short, only 9:45am – 12pm
April 18, 2010 at 1:56 am
I am waiting for that pin to come too. HoJo has a picture. ask him
April 18, 2010 at 3:20 am
Ooh.. Thanks HoJo for sending the pic of that pin! It’s super cute!!

Seems like JetSet Sports has some pretty nice pins that aren’t that commonly seen.. Like this Opening / Closing Ceremony pin set that I discovered yesterday on TraderAl‘s site:
Nice, eh?
April 18, 2010 at 4:09 am
it’s nice… but I am still thinking whether I wanna pay $40 for those 2 pins ><
April 18, 2010 at 5:59 pm
That works out to just $20 a pin, not to bad lol~ I find that the Jet Set dimsum pin doesn’t have very nice colouring for Quatchi and Miga…or maybe it’s just the picture HoJo had. Hopefully the real thing would be more pretty!
April 18, 2010 at 10:28 pm
I think it’s probably just the pic quality.. Cuz the Vancouver 2010 Inukshuk’s colouring (from that pin pic) also looks kinda off. Lol!
I’m pretty sure the real thing must look great though! Please send a pic when you guys’ pins arrive! hehe
April 20, 2010 at 12:28 am
If you are interested in Sumi volunteer pin and club 99 bus driver volunteer pin, please send me an email.
April 20, 2010 at 8:16 pm
Hey HoJo, emailed you regarding the volunteer pins; please give me a shout if you come across any of the pins from my wishlist! hehe thanks!
April 20, 2010 at 8:30 am
Can you tell me where you got your “Good News Games” pin? Do you know what the symbols stand for?
Thanks,
Toni
April 20, 2010 at 8:23 pm
Hey Toni,
I actually don’t know the origins of this pin.. I saw it on someone’s Craigslist pin trading ad, and thought it was a beautiful pin, so I traded him for it! hehe
I believe this pin has Christian connotations – as there are the 5 biblical fish symbols, plus a small cross on the right side.
I hope this answers your question!
Cheers!
April 23, 2010 at 1:39 am
The UBC pin is available at UBC campus bookstore, likely not at Robson Square.
April 23, 2010 at 1:56 am
Oh.. >.<" I'll probably have to head down to the UBC campus sometime this weekend to get it then! It's a good pin for UBC students & Alumni to have hehe
April 24, 2010 at 4:12 pm
oo are you a UBC alumni, SuperQuatchi?
April 24, 2010 at 5:16 pm
hehe yep I am! Grad of ’08
April 24, 2010 at 5:23 pm
cool~ that was when I finished my first year of uni! haha
What was your major? (I’m going to take a guess and say…commerce
)
April 25, 2010 at 1:12 am
Haha.. why Commerce?
My major was CS; I’m in an IT job right now
What about yours?
April 25, 2010 at 2:09 pm
I said Commerce because it seems that they have a lot of asian girls in there, so I thought it’s kind of a good guess hehe, and also you seem to have a very good business going on with your pins! But a CS major! That’s really cool and unexpected
I’m a pharmacy student, graduating in 2 years
April 24, 2010 at 2:21 am
it was good to bump into your at Hudson House today~~
April 24, 2010 at 5:15 pm
Hey HoJo, same here
Btw what did you end up getting yesterday?
April 26, 2010 at 11:03 pm
Since the shipping for the UK is pretty expensive, maybe we can gather a few members to get a bulk order and share the shipping fee.
April 28, 2010 at 1:24 am
Hey HoJo,
Perhaps we should wait until the London 2012 mascots are unveiled though.. I’m sure there will be more cute / attractive pins, with mascots on them, after!
That’s a great idea!
April 29, 2010 at 8:29 pm
Superquatchi,
I stumbled onto your website and am just so totally jealous of your collection. I think it’s awesome. I am assuming you are the grassroots of this “newie” pin club for budding pinheads. Thanks so much because my children and I were a bit taken aback from the hardcore pin collectors at the Coca-Cola Trading place. We were out of their league. I am looking forward to the “Lucky Charms” pin fair.
P.S. You must have a vault of money to amass such fine pins in such a short period of time! I’m a middle-aged woman with 2 kids and 3 pin collections to finance.
April 29, 2010 at 11:15 pm
Hi fan of the marmot! (Cute nickname! I love Mukmuk too!)
Thanks for visiting my site & your kind compliments!
You & your kids are more than welcome to join the Rookie Pin Traders Network! This network was founded precisely because of the same overwhelming feeling brought on by seeing hardcore pin collectors/traders at some pin trading events! Hehe
I look forward to seeing your kids’ collections & perhaps also trade with you guys @the upcoming pin events!
And P.S. I’m just a regular salary person who spends all her lunch breaks buying pins instead of food! Lol
April 30, 2010 at 9:10 pm
hihi, where did you get the NRK pin? looks pretty neat!
April 30, 2010 at 11:22 pm
Hey HoJo,
I got it by trading! The person who traded with me has friends in Norway who sent her these special Norwegian media pins.
I was attracted to it the moment I saw the pic she’d emailed me! hehe
May 1, 2010 at 12:30 am
Hello, I like your new collection, where do you find these ppl to trade? Seems like you trade almost everyday with different ppl.
May 1, 2010 at 11:07 am
Hey BuBu,
Most of the people I’ve traded with found me through this blog & the Rookie Pin Traders Network!
May 2, 2010 at 1:14 pm
Hi Superquatchi,
I’m more interested to know where you get the CanadaLine & Mukmuk only pin.
I like other pins as well other than olympic pins and I like mukmuk very much.
I don’t have many olympic pins but I have an AirCanada olympic sponsor pin if you are interested to trade the two pins with me.
Thanks for reading this.
May 3, 2010 at 2:01 am
Hi Wendy,
However, I sometimes do trade pins from my personal collection, if you’ve got a pin that I really want!
The 2 pins you mentioned are from my personal collection & aren’t listed as my “traders”..
You can email me pics of the pin(s) you’re offering for trade, at superquatchi AT gmail.com
Cheers!
May 4, 2010 at 12:48 pm
Sorry I wasn’t able to reply your email for the past couple days. Just moved to a new home and finally got internet and computer setup last night. I will send you an email later and let you know what other pins I have for trade ^^
By the way, congratz on the x-ray muk muk. It always look so adorable! ^^
May 4, 2010 at 11:13 pm
Thanks HoJo!
May 9, 2010 at 12:47 am
where did you get the Vampire Quatchi from? I want that pin too >< Do you know who else has that pin for trade?
May 9, 2010 at 1:11 am
I traded with a guy who wanted one of my Quatchi & Miga Chirstmas pins.. hehe
I believe he only had one extra to trade.
If I come across anyone who has this pin available, I’ll let you know!
May 9, 2010 at 1:41 am
I notice you have 4 different cold-fx pins already. I happen to have 1 extra cold-fx shopping bag pin, would you like to trade with your ticket.com pin?
By the way, it’s nice to bump into you today. What a coincidence. Twice already~ hahaha
May 9, 2010 at 2:04 am
Hey HoJo,
Thanks for your offer. Unfortunately, I only have 1 tickets.com pin & it’s a keeper.
And yea, what a coincidence today! Did you wind up getting the stuff you wanted?
May 9, 2010 at 2:27 am
I only got the blue volunteer jacket. Finally I bought myself a men size M, but now I have a brand-new women size L extra (with tag) that I needa get rid of >< When I went there last time, they didn't have men size M, so I bought a women size L. Oh well, needa find a way to sell it…
May 21, 2010 at 9:20 am
Hello SQ: Long time no talk!!! I see you have a lot in your collection since we chatted several weeks ago. Here I notice you have an Inniskillin pin. I have the other 4 winery pins namely, Sumac Ridge, See Ya Later Range, NK’Mip as well as Jackson Triggs but missing the Inniskillin. Would you trade that pin with one of my winery pins? Also, I was at the MW on May 15th too! Wish I knew who you were. Traded a few pins there!
May 22, 2010 at 11:38 am
Hi Michael,
I wouldn’t mind trading my Inniskillin pin, but I’m not really interested in other wineries’ pins. Do you have some other pins to offer for trade? I’m interested mostly in mascot pins. You can email me your traders & perhaps we can work out a trade!
Cheers
May 24, 2010 at 1:14 pm
Hello SQ:
Sure! We can trade other stuffs. I am quite unorganised but I am sure we will work out something eventually. Email me at michaelyblam@hotmail.com and then we can chat further!
May 24, 2010 at 8:10 am
Thanks for making such a valuable blog, sincerely Kobos Mathers.
May 24, 2010 at 11:22 am
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoy reading it!
May 30, 2010 at 3:55 am
Hi ^U^
Ummm I was just curious as to the rarety of a particular pin.
It’s the Beijing Samsung Phone Pin Beijing Olympics Great Wall and it opens and closes.
I was hoping maybe you may know if it is classified as a ‘rare’ pin especially now that the Beijing olympics are over
Thanks=)
May 30, 2010 at 5:46 pm
Hey Louise,
Sorry, I don’t know anything about Beijing Olympic pins & their rarity.
From your description, I’m guessing it might be quite rare since it’s a sponsor pin & has unique features (able to open/close).
Good luck finding out more about that pin!
Cheers
May 30, 2010 at 11:12 pm
Thanks so much for replying ^0^
Yeah, I tought it may be quite rare with it being a sponsor pin and all, but thanks I’ll continue reseaching.^U^
Love your Vancouver collection, so amazing I only have 2 Vancouver pins XD
May 30, 2010 at 5:14 pm
Hey SQ:
Finally we met! Thanks for showing your pins and hope you like the Panasonic pin…treasure it as I have not traded any of my second pins but just with you! Now we have to hunt the Vincor pin to complete my set! Will call ahead when I come DT. Awaiting my TVE mascot pins to come…anytime! He he he
May 30, 2010 at 5:33 pm
Hey Michael,
Loved hearing you guys’ pin stories & seeing your collections! Too bad I still don’t have all my pins nicely organized into albums/display boards & such yet! When I get it all sorted out later on, we’ll have another pin meetup!
It was nice meeting up with you & Joanne yesterday!
And thanks for the Panasonic Quatchi trade! Hehe I love that pin!!
Glad that the pins I traded to you can help get you one step closer to completing your wineries set & CTV set!
Yep, just let me know ahead of time when you are heading to DT! I’ll have the CTV pin with me at work.
Cheers!

Just wondering ……. your 3 mascots on a whale & Canada flag pin …. is that a retail pin? Where is that one from? btw …. Nice collection!
June 19, 2010 at 8:19 pm
Hey SG,
Thanks for your compliment!
Hmm.. I’m not too sure about the origins of the 3 mascots on a whale pin – I’d obtained it via trading sometime around the end of the Olympics. (That’s when I’d started my pin collection!)
I checked the backstamp of my pin, & there’s this info there (along with some other usual TM, VANOC text): “ARTISS AMINCO ® – 4″. I believe some pin sites say that the number appended at the end is only stamped onto retail pins, if they have a production quantity associated. In this case, it would be over 25,000 produced. My guess is that this backstamp info would indicate that it is a retail pin, but I’m not entirely sure. Hope this helps!
Cheers!

Hey, I’ve been looking for the Miga halfpipe snowboarding pin. Do you have anything you’re looking for? Or could I just buy it off you?
June 20, 2010 at 4:57 pm
Hi Grace,
Here are the pins I’m looking for: http://superquatchi.wordpress.com/2010/03/15/olympic-pins-wanted/
Or, if you don’t have any of them, you can just email me @ superquatchi AT gmail.com, & we can probably work out a trade/sale.
Cheers!
